What is the tag field?
The "tag field" is a one character field in each member record that does not
have any pre-defined meaning in Gathery. Each organization Manager can
define this field and use it to classified members. As to how to use this
field is up to your imagination. The following are some examples:
- "A" for all those who will attend next field trip; Blank for all others.
- "1" for married members, "2" for singles
- "0".."9" for number of children of the member
- "A" members who have donated more than $10,000 last year;
"B" for those donated $5,000 up to $10,000; "C" for those donated less than
$5,000.
The Manager can list all members of a certain specified tag (sub-service in
service: "Manager list members").
The Manager can also maintain this tag field easily by using the
service "upload/download DB to/from text file".
